Frequently asked questions

Can I collect deposits through PennaPay?
Yes. Send a deposit invoice (e.g. 20–30% of the total) — your client pays via bank transfer or MobilePay to secure the booking (card payments directly on the link are coming soon). On the day, send a final invoice for the remaining balance. Both invoices are tracked in your dashboard.
Is PennaPay free for tattoo artists?
Yes. The free plan lets you create and download unlimited invoices with the no-signup maker. Sign up for a free account to save up to 5 invoices at a time — delete and recreate as often as you like. Pro adds unlimited saved invoices and client messaging; online card payments and contracts are coming soon.
Can I send a booking contract before the appointment?
Not yet — PennaPay's contract builder (cancellation window, deposit non-refund policy, design sign-off terms, with electronic client signing) is coming soon. For now, attach your existing contract or consent form as a PDF alongside the invoice.
Do I need an accountant to use PennaPay?
No. PennaPay is designed to be simple enough for anyone to use. Your invoices, payments and client records are all in one dashboard — easy to export at tax time too.
